Purple Penguin Snowcone Shack is one of our favorite places to visit as a family when carving for slushy, milkshakes, or ice cream. My daughter's favorite frozen treat is a half cup of ice cream topped with her favorite color slushy. They are open 7 days a week and serve a variety of sweet frozen treats on their menu wall. The lady serving us was always friendly and cheerful when we visited. They have indoor seating and outdoor seating. They also have an Instagram account where you can follow and check out. It is only a short drive from Cadence Community Park and any residents living near Boulder Highway or Water Street.

Loved it! Not many snowcone places in Vegas, or at least easy-to-find locations. Loved the many options and great pricing. Easy to find parking, at least when I came. Would definitely come back to Water Street for this place again!

I stopped into this place today after lunch. Cute little shop down on Water Street. I loved the variety. They had so many flavors. You can do up to 3 flavors per cone, so take advantage. The prices are super cheap. They also have ice cream and floats. The ice isn't hard it's more of a slushie consistency. It was delicious, definitely refreshing. Very fast on making our snowcone. The staff was nice.

Took our seven year old here for the first time today. He had never had a snowcone and wanted to try one. The place is located on Water Street and easily accessible. The shop lives up to its name, it's all different shades of purple. Their menu is extensive with all the flavor options. Tommy decided on a snowcone with root beer, tigers blood and lemonade. Very interesting combo but he really enjoyed it. I got their root beer flavor with soft serve added in. It reminded me of Italian ices I got when I was a kid. The root beer flavor was great and the creaminess of the soft serve complimented it really well. My husband got their dole whip. Which was light and tangy. The girl behind the counter was super friendly and also put the snowcone in a bigger cup for our son so it wouldn't make a mess. I thought it was super thoughtful of her. Everything was really good. The place was rest clean and kept up. For a nice treat on a hot day this place was perfect.

So good! Cute little spot love the pineapple dole soft serve. Super quick and not a bad wait time.

Came to purple penguin because there's really no other place in town that has vanilla snow ones with condensed milk! The staff were friendly and even offered us a stamp card for our 10th snowcone to be free. They were really fast although it was busier. We sat at the small seating area and enjoyed the refreshing snowcones. I will always continue to come back Time and time again and I recommend anyone coming to water street to stop by!

My daughter came here and she love this place that she wanted me to give it a try. I feel like a child!! I am so excited to pick my flavor and they do have so many choices.... The service is fast and the staff are very nice and friendly. The place is clean they do have to table each one with three chairs in case the customer wants to enjoy the treat indoors.

I've been going to the Purple Penguin since they had a trailer in parking lots around Las Vegas. It's one of my favorite places to get a shaved ice from. I had no idea they had a storefront and I stumbled upon it while attending the Arts Festival off Water Street in downtown Henderson. It's a small space and there is no seating available inside. There are some areas to sit at outside. The service is quick and friendly and all of the workers are upbeat and are happy to help. They have a pretty extensive menu and have some rotating specials. They also have ice cream if snow cones aren't your thing. The snow cones are full of flavor and they are generous with the syrup. They also offer a punch card if you frequent them. Purple Penguin is a great stop for a treat if you're on Water Street and is worth the drive if you aren't in the area.

Love love this place. I had a craving on a hot day and wanted a snow cone. Stumbled upon this place and pleasantly surprised by the option and taste. Almost just like being in Hawaii. It's definitely get busy inside. It's a simple place with a host of options. Not too big in the inside so the line develops quickly. Definitely coming back.

I was not a fan of shaved ice until I visited Purple Penguin! I'm used to establishments offering snow cones with large pieces of crushed ice that takes away from the flavoring. Purple Penguin however offered a very nicely shaved ice which was very easy and convenient to consume. I tried a combination of banana and cheesecake and it was so much better than expected. I'll definitely be visiting again. *please note, this is a walk-up establishment. There are a few seats outdoors as you wait for your snow cone.
